Every lens-replacement order starts with a frame viability check: hinge integrity, lens-groove condition, frame warp, and — for progressives — whether there’s enough vertical depth for all three zones. If something won’t hold, Abe tells you plainly before anything is ordered, not after the lenses come back from the lab.

Eyewear for Every Age
Glasses a child will actually keep on start with measurement, not an age range.
Kids, teens, and adults — every age and every style preference. For children, fit is measured directly on the face: bridge width, monocular pupillary distance, and temple length, never estimated from the number printed on the temple arm.
Pediatric lenses are specified in impact-resistant polycarbonate or Trivex as a baseline, and spring-hinge frames hold up to real-world wear. A school screening is a signal to get an eye exam first; once you have the written prescription, bring it in.

How is a progressive fitting different from a bifocal fitting?
Bifocals have a visible line and a single segment-height measurement. Progressives blend distance, intermediate, and near across a continuous corridor, so fitting height, pantoscopic tilt, corridor width, and frame depth all interact. A small error in any one affects the whole lens, which is why progressives are measured in your chosen frame.
