What determines glasses repair cost and timing
Three things set the price and the wait: how much work the repair takes, whether the part is already in the drawer, and whether the frame has to leave the building.
Done while you wait
Screw tightening, nose-pad replacement and realignment are counter work. You keep the glasses the same visit.
Same day to a few days
Repairs needing a specific component depend on stock. If we hold a compatible part, the work can usually be finished quickly. If it has to be ordered, the wait is set by the supplier rather than by us.
Sent out
Soldering, broken fronts and rimless rebuilds go to an outside service. This is the slowest and most expensive route, and it is the point where replacement is worth pricing against repair — including the cost of new lenses if the frame changes.
We quote before any work starts. Bring the glasses in and you will know which of the three you are looking at, and what it costs, before you decide.
